Our Track of the Day comes in the form of Lazarus Kane’s latest release ‘Night Walking’.
Night Walking is a three-chord belter with vocals and harmonies that draw influence from Lazarus’ origins and early life in the USA. The bassline of ‘Narcissus’ felt big, but Night Walking truly blows it through the roof. This is still only Lazarus’ second release, but that hasn’t stopped him attracting huge interest so far this year, especially after a sold out show at Brixton’s notorious pub and venue ‘The Windmill’.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 came at the what feels like the worst time for Lazarus, just as there was hype building around his debut release and performances. Night Walking does steady the storm however, let’s hope the break has given him some time to write extra material, and Lazarus can shortly get back to wowing fans during engaging live shows, shows that made him one of the brightest emerging talents of the year.
