Track of the Day: Legss – On Killing a Swan Blues

Our latest track of the day comes courtesy of London’s scintillating  post-punk progressives Legss.'On Killing a Swan Blues' is the band's first release since the incredible Writhing Comedy EP last year. The new track sees the release of the band's first music video, shot and directed by Will Reid and co-directed by Denial. The band consist of Ned Green (guitars, vocals), Louis Grace (drums, samples), Jake Martin (bass) and Max Oliver (guitars).  The track opens with an aggressive guitar hook but swiftly mellows into a softer verse section, there's a constant push and pull that really compliments the nature of the lyrics. Track of the Day: All Things Blue – White Lady Dogs

LA act All Things Blue are relatively new to the scene, and whilst they are yet to release their debut LP, the unit have garnered the attention of indie publications both at home in California and across the pond - for good reason, of course. Hot off the heels of 'Dicking Around', which was released last month, the band this week shared their newest single 'White Lady Dogs'. The track is a witty observation of frontwoman India Coombs' neighbourhood in South Los Angeles, and a two-fingers to gentrification. Coombs' punchy vocals are accompanied by psych-y, swirling guitars, leading the track almost into the realm of shoegaze - though Coombs has self-described her style as 'dream-punk'.
